How much for my new MS69 business strike?

Sorry, I don't really have a newly found MS69 business strike coin. However, if I made a pop 1 or 2, or even a pop 3 business strike coin either very early after the release date or several years later, how would I know what is a reasonable price to ask or pay? Is there a good method or formula?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Don

Check for similar graded coins from the previous year to see how they are doing, how the early sales went and how the current sales are going!

check archive histories, that's one of your best resources!

99cents no reserve on eBay will find the price it will sell for.

That's what I usually do, but it doesn't always work out well for me perhaps due to bad timing.

If it were to happen to me? Depending on what series it was, (1cent - $1.00) I would first send it to a forum expert on the series. Say wondercoin, boom, coinfame, lincolnsrule, or onlyroosies if it were a dime. They could comfirm it was NOT a satin finish coin. Then with that easing fears anyone may have, I'd then put it on teletrade.

If you made it you can take into consideration what it took to produce the coin. If buying, some research could be made as to how tough of a coin it will be to make another.

Really depends. I currently have a pop 1 proof Washington in proof 70, but, it is a deep cameo. If I had it slabbed at 70 DCAM, probably $200? I got it for about $100, nice profit percentage wise. I keep it in the old green holder as an example. I bought a pop 1 Kennedy for $175 in MS 68. I was offered $2000 and turned it down. Now it's a pop 3 and would sell for about $1500. BUT, I have pop 12's that sell for that and more. Why? Demand for a series and how much money is in that series. Good luck if you have one. First one made seems to sell for the most if offered very quickly without turning back. Ray
