Greatest living baseball player? Greatest baseball player of ALL TIME?

Just wondering.

Who is the greatest living baseball player right now? And why?

Also, who is the greatest baseball player of All Time? Why?

They do not have to be the same. Just who and why. Any player. Any reason you see fit. Defense, offense, wins, W.S. rings, ect..

  • aww~

    seriously though.

in no particular order. Mays, Aaron, Williams (his frozen head counts!) , bonds (despite his giant head, ill temper and steroid abuse) Musial (he's still alive right ?)

greatest of all time? Ruth. HR king and won 20 games twice! pitched a 14 inning complete game in the W.S. too. No one player has ever totally dominated the sport like him.

Bobafett, although Mays, Aaron, and Musial were good in their day they are way too old now to be considered the best living player. No way any of them would hit higher than .250 playing at their ages.

  • Greatest living player.....Willie Mays. He could run, field and hit.

Greatest of all time.....Joe Charboneau because he could open beer bottles with his eye socket.

    All Time - Babe Ruth

    Living - Willie Mays

Current (yes, I added that) - Albert Pujols

    Shane

  • I'm not voting for either of these two, but it'd be hard to argue against either Bonds (7 MVP awards) or Clemens (5 CY Young awards). My vote would go to someone who as great as he was doesn't get the recognition I believe he deserves - Henry Aaron. He could do it all and was so great for so long.

All Time: as much as I could argue for Ted Williams I think it would have to go to Babe Ruth. Ty Cobb isn't far behind the two of them.
