Can any one know FOODSAVER bags contain PVC

in U.S. Coin Forum
I read in the form tham if we store silver coins in a Ziplocl bag which contain PVC will cause white spots and damage the coins.
Can any one let me know that the FOODSAVER bags contain PVC or not.

    I've read that food storage containers and bags are not allowed to be made of PVC. Makes sense when you think about it.

    I actually read on the web that some food films and bags still contain PVC which is really scary when your microwaving food for your kids! image

    The FOODSAVER packaging should tell you the material of the bags---most likely polyethylene which should be safe for your coins. In any event, PVC has a very distinct smell so if it smells like a new shower curtain, it should be avoided.

    "GLAD does not use any PVC plastics in its products. GLAD wraps are safe to use in the microwave."--glad.com

    I can't remember if that goes for all food bags and wraps.

    Foodgrade baggies cannot contain PVC, therefore, none of your Ziploc bags have PVC in them.

    While correct, if they were made in China, I wouldn't count on that...

    Why would we even need to buy that kind of stuff from China? What a SHAMEFUL waste of shipping resources.
