The CRO Early Bird doesn't need pictures when you get classic commentary like this...

Seconds ago, I received CoinRaritiesOnline's super secret Early Bird email, which contains newps from their most recent show. The Early Bird does not contain pictures of coins. Typically, this would be a problem, but not for CRO. The descriptions that they give are spot on, and the commentary that they include really drives home the points. For example, I am not a Colonial guy, but the comment about the senseless of the NGC notation on the slab below makes perfect sense, even to me, and puts it in context. Here is the example:

"1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. VF35 [NGC].
Nelson-15 variety, considered to be Rarity-3. This is the distinctive 'Long Nose' type, far less commonly seen than the typical 'Stern Head' and 'Imperial Head' issues. And this is a pleasing piece, with golden tan color and nice surfaces for the grade level. Annoyingly, NGC refers to this as a 'No P' type so as to differentiate it from the 'P Below Bust' and 'P in front of Face' types, which makes about as much sense as calling a regular 1955 Lincoln Cent a 'No Double Die variety'. Oh well. $550."
