I just checked out the EarlyUS.com website, and I am very impressed...
I checked out for the first time the www.earlyus.com website. I was impressed by the quality of the coins for sale. I think he might be a member here. Does anyone have any experience with this site? I especially liked the articles on the site.

James is a good guy, and he's a regular contributor ATS.
I've got my eye on one as I type.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
PCGS Morgan
<< <i>That's a nice site. I've never seen a PCGS holder like this:

Wow. About $1,000 for the plastic!
Just out of curiosity, how can you tell if it's a rare transitional slab, or a regular 'PCGS #3' 2-piece slab with the outer piece broken / removed?
A quick perusal of Conder101's 'Generations' post doesn't list this transitional slab.
PCGS 2.5 This slab was discovered after the initial posting of this thread ad posted here by mgoodm3. It is he same as PCGS 2 in all ways except for the adition of the companies initials at the top center of the front label. Since then I have seen a few other specimens but it seems to be much scarcer than PCGS 2. My guess is that it was probably produced during the last week or so of Nov 1989.
<< <i>Well it looks simular to the gen 2.5:

Yes, it is similar, but it's not the same. The one on earlyUS's site looks like gen 3 with the outer framer removed.
