As far as I'm concerned, you've already earned every penny of that because of your service. And I thank you for it!

My job is to scan the web looking for unusual or disturbing posts that homeland security needs to follow up on. I actually work after hours part time as a CIA assassin but that seems to be a dead end job. image I recently went back to Disney and I think there is a job there for me but I need someone to vouch for me. image

  • I help people get the best deal possible on a residential mortgage loan. Sometimes I waive all of my commissions and break even for my customers. They usually refer their friends, family, and neighbors and so I do big volume and only make a few hundred $ at the most off of each loan. I am not in business to get rich but to help people. I've always thought that as long as you take care of your customers they'll always take care of you. Granted that the first year or so I lived off of my credit card, but now I have a customer base of over 700 and growing everyday. I just hope that Ben Bernake gets this economy back on track because many people I know are worried about their jobs and the house prices keep crashing .

I wonder if there would be any interest in creating a Board Member Preferred Professional Directory™, given that there are so many people here with different professions. For example, if I needed a mortgage, I would call one of the mortgage guys on these boards (and maybe get a better deal than just going to some large conglomerate), if I needed cats herded, I would call the board member specializing in that, etc. It sounds good in concept.

Forgot that one when I brought up liquor. You can't really lose in your field, competition just can crowd it and you can get a legal hassle now and then.

Amen to the legal hassle. A few bad apples always ruin it for the legit businesses. As long as your 2257 paperwork is in line and you stay to the mainstream, you should be able to eek out a decent living.

I describe the business as if it was a wheelbarrow full of money. There is plenty for everyone and plenty more where that came from.
