Question for Lincoln sellers

When do you expect the Lincoln market to peak, and when do you plan on selling some of your higher-end Lincolns?

Now, 2008, 2009, or later?

I think 2008 will be a good year to sell, the hype in advance of 2009 should be super high...and probably will outpace actual demand in 2009.

There will be little hype as far as the general public is concerned until the change is actually made. Then
it will be all over the news and then there will be a spike for a short time. Can't say there will be too much
change overall. But, then that's my opinion.

I think early 2009....just ahead of the actual change.
Will be in papers, on Coin Vault, etc etc etc.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • The market's pretty strong right now...but next year should be better. I just wonder if 2009 will really spike.

Did the market for older Washington quarters spike before the state quarter program started or did it happen after it had begun?
  • I'm selling now to the people who are expecting the spike later. I suspect there will be a lull early/mid year next year and then another spike. I will buy again during the lull.

  • Nov. 2008-Feb. 2009. I have high-grade MPLs, and don't plan on selling anything. The time to buy MPLs was over by Spring 2007, and prices have jumped significantly since then (coin pricing guides haven't kept up with what nice MPLs are going for right now).
