Only 36 cards, that's the main reason i decided to do the set. I have never done a set before, and have been looking for a nice set to build for awhile. I had a Babe Ruth in the original SPort Kings, and always really liked the design....and as soon as I saw this set, i KNEW this would be the ONE and ONLY set I would go for. (i like high end singles too much).

Anyway thanks, and if anyone comes up with some or sees some, let me know PLEASE!
These came relatively quickly, but the SP's are going to be a different story.

THey aren't cheap...but will be my prize collection set when done, and one i don't think will fade in desire with time like many of the modern day cards. But because there are only 36 of them, it's very doable unlike the A&G autos....that would be super pricy.

Anyway the SPs are
alpbert pujols
joe namath
michael jordan
nolan ryan
tiger woods
emmitt smith

I think i will get the non-autos as fillers until i find the autos...they are just a fraction of the autos.

Nice Auto's, That Jeanette Lee "The Black Widow" is really nice. I think I saw more of her on ESPN a few years ago than any other personality. She usually had her opponent "psyched" out before she even broke the rack. And she wasn't bad to look at either. Now that's a winning pool "Combo".

Yea, i know golfgasm - he had the tiger up and it got to 2800, and then it came off ebay...i guess he got an offer he couldn't refuse.

I actually flipped the Pujols. was able to make $500 in a week on it, so i sold it.

I completed the set with a combination of autos and non-autos, and since some of the autos just aren't showing up, and the tiger going for $3K+, i decided i would hold off on it for now...

Two tigers recently sold...one in auction for 3300, and the other off auction for 4000...whew...i guess I wont be completing this set....i was thinking i would dish out 1500-2000 for it, but that is insane. just got the emmitt, but looking to see if i can flip it for some big bucks.

How much do you suspect the Namath is worth? Any interest in moving it?

I think you should take the Tiger regular and have him sign it in person. You'll have to figure out a way to make it happen.

I think for the tiger, i will be content with the set being completed with some autos and some not....especially since some will NEVER be available anyway. 3 were made as non-autos, and the maddux was supposed to be available in auto, but apparently the contract fell through or greg is just not honoring his contract....who knows the real answer to that one. You would think it would be false advertising by UD and could potentially be a class action law suit with all those that spent big $$ with plans on completing the set with it.

Its not the same, but i do know that you can send anything to Nolan Ryans website and get it signed (i believe for $100) which goes to some charity....so for about $125, you could get a card that will sell close to $500. The base cards do have a gold holofoil on the back though, so that's an expensive holofoil.
