Gold is at a all time high, yet my porfolio in the World Series of Coin Trading is down! There is nothing but low grade gold coins in there that tracks the price of gold, why is it down?image I think the prices are FIXED.image

I too just loaded my portfolio with low grade gold. The price guide has a couple anomolies where a higher grade coin is priced below the lower grade.... Bought these out!

I've been holding $900,000 in low grade Saints for three months, still haven't seen 1 cent in increase on mine, the lower graded are higher than the grades I'm holding. Hope they jump up soon.

In the "Broken clock correct twice a day" department...

I bought all 40 of the available 54-S $10 Liberty Heads and they recently bounced from $575 to $790.

This World Series gives a very inexpensive glimpse into the the vagaries and workings of the rare coin market.

A real contest would be one in which the market makers in each area would input their bid/ask prices daily and would stand behind the #'s and buy or sell real coins at those prices.
