Good day,

I thought for sure the Rockies would win at least 1 game. They looked a lot like the '04 Cardinals and the '05 Astros.

Nothing to see here, move along...
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I think the Rockies are better than they played in the WS.

The 8 day wait is a killer - for ANY team.

The wait was a factor, at the start, yes.... but they had time to get back into the grovve and they quite simply didnt....

    Absolutely true.

But, hitting is a very mental game - and once the confidence is rocked? It's hard to get it back in a few games?

I'm not apologizing for them - I guess I'm trying to be fair?

I don't know about the worthy thing with respect to the Rockies...

but, the Sox played some serious ball!

Any time two rookies can combine for 7 for 10 in a game? That some superb ball!!!!!

I think the Red Sox woulda beat the crap out of anyone the way they played in the WS - this team showed depth - depth - depth.

Everyone contributed - great pitching - great defense - few mistakes - great hitting - especially with 2 outs.

How about giving some due to Boston - they deserve the celebration.

The whole "We're not worthy" thing was just a bet. it wasnt meant as a jab to the Rockies.... just a bet :-)

good on Francona, he played this one like a maestro and even diffused any doubt about having to chose amongst a group of hot players in Colorado

Screw the Red sox. It will take another hundred years IF they win another one. Yanks will win it 25 more times and all us Yank fans will be laughing like hell again. image chaz

I'll bet my entire Registry collection that you aren't laughing today!!

AND, with the hosing of Torre and the opting out by A-Rod, I suspect your team is in for a long, long road to recovery. We in Red Sox Nation rejoice at your discomfort, which comes through so loudly in your post. Sounds more like sour grapes than anything logical attached to your next hundred years comment.

Red Sox, 2007 World Series Champions...live with it!

  • Neil:

Just remember the Broncos took 3 losses prior to winning a Super Bowl. The Rockies looked like some of the early Broncos in prime time.

Don't forget the 1999 Braves. I thought that would be a classic rematch of the 1996 World Series that could've possibly went the full seven games, but the Braves just didn't put up much of a fight at all. image
