I stumbled upon a pretty cool piece of art on Ebay and checked the guys site out. He has some pretty sweet pieces and if you can catch his stuff on Ebay, you can get it cheap....for now. His work reminds me of Peter Max, who's work I like too. I thought there may be some collectors here who would like this type of art also.
Here is his site....The Sports Artist
And here is the piece I just purchased from him on Ebay, can't wait to recieve it. Papelbon

<< <i>Nice work, but too "Busy" looking for my taste.. >>
He seems to have a similar style to LeRoy Neiman who's very popular.
I can understand the thing about 'busy' but that's the way it goes with art - some like, some don't.
I have to say - I'm more a fan of the "illustrator" art - like Rockwell.
A favorite web of mine is Ron Stark.
His work is very 'photo lifelike' - but I really like it.
Thanx for sharing

Its not only a "style" similar to LeRoy Neiman, but a complete copy.
Honesty sucks....
This is Broadway Boogie Woogie by Mondrian - worth millions!
I think it stinks - Broadway and Times Square - where is it? And where are the hookers!!!
Seriously - art is art - why rain on Ted's parade?

<< <i>Those Ron Stark's are amazing. How would you pick up an original if you wanted too?

He used to give some prices for stuff but now doesn't.
My take? You can 'commission' him to do one of his painting or pick something - like an original photo, and ask him to do it for a fee.
His father was incredible also - and was featured many times years ago in SCD.
One thing that's affordable - Giclee copies - they're exact replicas of the original oil that's "sprayed" on.
In some instances the artist will "adapt" or modify the giclee to give it a more 'painted' feel. They're sometimes numbered and much more affordable than the originals.

"This painting will remain up until the Rockies win the 2007 WORLD SERIES"
oh come on... your dismissing the possibility of the greatest comeback in series history
