1795 A over E on ebay

This coin was one of the Upstate NY cache coins, a detector find in 2002 by Bob Lavoy. When Bob sold it, I was the underbidder. Much to my dismay, the winner listed the coin a couple weeks later but the coin was darkly toned. (While the coins were virtually all hallmarked and would not make top tier cert, they are still very nice albeit untoned. Reportedly they only had the dirt washed off by Bob.) I called the seller out re the AT of a significant coin and and he cancelled the auction. Now it is back up, but less toned. Such a shame.

Could not the third party graders grade these like chop marked trade dollars?
Even being a dug coin it still shows excellent detail.
