I KNOW!!! I always wanted an 1822 in a nice AU. I found one at a show maybe 18 months ago: an NGC AU55. The guy wanted $490 for it and wouldn't budge on the price. I'm normally a PCGS fan, but the coin was just fantastic, so I bought it. (I have sinced crossed it into a PCGS holder.) I am so glad I bought it because I could never find another at that price.
Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.
I only buy the special CDN package twice a year, so I am about six months old in my CDN paperwork. Two weeks ago a dealer I trust told me he thought the sheet prices on Bust Half Dollars was going to soon show a huge increase. Plan to order my special pack in a week.
I certainly agree that CDN Bustie prices have been far far too low for some time now. No way one can expect to buy anything but junk at those prices.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

I am waiting for the price bubble to break on PCGS AU 58 Busties.
I would be surprised if it breaks for AU58's. Further, I would be respectively surprised "IF" it's a bubble.
