Browsing through some registry sets, I saw a 1925 listed that was MS-68, but there wasn't a picture. I also found out from the Heritage site that PCGS has only graded 2, the '25 I mentioned before and a '24. NCG has graded one, also a '25. Not a very good pic from Heritage, but here's the link. Link
<< <i>There's an awful lot of marks in the tiarra and in the tail feathers for a 68 on that heratige link. >>
Peace Dollars are not really my area...I assume you are talking about the nicks on the "needles" near the I and the B of LIBERTY. The nicks toward the tips of the tail feathers are easy to see...plus the reverse has several other marks and is not what I think of when I think MS 68.
I guess that's why it remained unsold at the auction.

The famous Jack Lee set of silver dollars had a MS68 peace dollar. I remeber seeing the coin and it is truly amazing.
For some reason, Peace dollars don't seem to come quite as nice as Morgans. To me, the silver seems a little different...almost like it's softer, if that's even possible.
Another thing I've notice about Peace dollars. They don't seem to have that gorgeous rainbow toning you do see in Morgans. But Peace dollars sat in the same mint bags as Morgans so it doesn't seem to make sense.
Just what i've observed after looking at silver dollars for over 40 years.
