I kind of like them. I wonder if the colors are the same as the ARod, or will the circles be different colors? I wish they would make them match the team colors. I think that would be pretty neat.

Autos from presidential candidates? That's pretty cool. I wonder which five they have? I hope they're well designed and executed, as the autos certainly aren't rare. They should have done dual sigs with the Bush boys and the Clintons, too.

I see they're going back to the white borders of 2004-06. I must say the team name design on the top looks very retro. image Do they show what the back looks like too? As for their inclusion of 2008 Presidential candidates; I think that's pretty clever seeing as how they did those 1 of 1 cards with a signature of each President. On a related note, I wonder how come Topps didn't do a commemorative bicentienial card for any of their 1976 sets?

I have to say I like them. They look similar to the 2004-2005 cards, but with a retro look (late 60s/early 70s). Pretty cool stuff. Can't wait.

Nice design although the Topps logo indent detracts a bit. The Black parallels will look sharp as they have since inception in 2002. I don't mind the politician cards and those that do can always sell or burn... or perhaps take your favorite candidate to the target range. If I pull the Hillary cut hopefully the vomit will miss the card so it can be sold to a liberal in need. I can already envision some clever eBay listings for some of these...

2007 Topps Hillary Clinton BGS 9.5, Card is off-center on the left just like Hillary. Liberally graded but what would you expect with a Clinton card? Flip the card over just like she does on the issues.

2007 Topps Rudy Guiliani Lot of 3, Three mint cards to match the number of Rudy wives. Centering not ideal on any side. These cards are "a hit" among mob collectors.

2007 Topps Gold John Edwards PSA 10, Gem mint card just like his hair. Card is serial numbered /2008, the number of people in the Two Americas that have more money than Edwards. Get this card fast. Ann Coulter says demand will only increase when Edwards is killed in a terrorist attack.

2007 Topps Barack Obama Black Border, .... I'll leave this one alone.

Wow, can you guys believe the 2000s decade is already starting to draw to a close (just a little over two years left)? I mean, where does the time go? Only bad thing though, I'm going to be hitting a certain birthday milestone that I'm not too happy about on March 22, 2010. It's got to be the most dreaded birthday milestone of all!image The kind of sets I collect should be a clue as to which milestone that is. image

Now I just need to get busy on getting those 2005-07 sets; how did I let myself get so far behind in my Topps set run? image

yeah and from 83-93 or so for the most part it was great reg junk mass producedimage a true staple!!!!!!
golly id give a nut to have a case of 86 and 87 topps cellos,,oh i already do !!they'll be opening cases of this stuff from 83-93 50 years from now for same price, just a tad overprduced would ya say? remember when 83 /84 fleer was actually worth decent $ 57 years a staple, i dont think so, in 1952 cards were made for kids, not adults,60s/70s/even early 80's,market has flipped just a little, its all geared towards adults, why do you think they make 125 leaf$ packs like i saw today of fb,think some kids gonna take his allowance and go buy a packimage

And that's still true for Topps today? Then why must I put down about $40-$50 a year at BBCE if I wish to get caught up on my Topps run (I'm missing 2005, 2006, 2007)? Why not just $10-$20 a set like the truely mass produced 1987-91 Topps? image

You know, they could do a promotion where you get a neat prize if you redeem the signed auto of the candidate that wins that party's nomination and an even bigger prize for whoever gets the White House. I mean, they could only do this every four years so why not make the prize truely special?
