SGC 96 = PSA ??

I'm building up a small pile of stuff to send to PSA for the Butler registry, so I picked this up for a possible crossover. What do you guys think it'll grade out to? Under higher resolution (600) I see some white on the bottom of the Butler side. How will that affect the grade? This is the first SGC card I've ever owned, so I'm not at all sure how they compare to the rest of the companies out there.

Geordie ........ Really difficult to tell from the scan on the black border on the bottom of the card , with your background being dark also ! But as far as crossing over SGC cards that are graded 96 , generally they have a good shot at crossing to a Psa 9 !!!!! I've purchased a few SGC cards ( approx. 30 , more or less ) , and have had good luck in crossing to the same grade or 1 grade higher , and a few that came back 1 grade lower ! Only 1 card came back trimmed ! Most of the SGC cards I bought , were purchased several years ago , so they were earlier graded cards !
Good luck with your submission !image ....... Dave ' Robbie' Robinson

I'd say your card has a very good shot to cross to a PSA 9. SGC is very reputable and basically the ONLY company worth even trying a PSA crossover with. You also have the fact that it's a low value card in your favor. I think PSA is quicker to cross those and the liability of possibly damaging a high $ card during crossover (something I have not heard of happening by the way) is not there. The only area where SGC may be a little lax is centering, so keep an eye on that.

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
