Anyone have any idea what this is worth? PUCKETT 1985 7-Eleven #1, Pork?

A little help from anyone that has any previous sales info on these cards?

KIRBY PUCKETT***1985 7-Eleven #1***ROOKIE***

PSA 8? PSA 9?

I know Porkchopper should have an answer!

Thanks.

Porkchopper is a regular board member and owns the #1 finest Puckett set so I am asking if he sees this to give me his 2 cents.

It is a pretty cool card. If I had it in 9 or 10, I would list it with a very high starting price. It is too thinly traded to likely spark any bidding war.

I don't know about graded card prices, but I picked up a mint set of these on eBay for $30.
  • the sets are out there cheaper than that. i picked mine up about a year ago for around $10 delivered if memory serves. Its a great looking set and one of my favorite Puckett cards. No idea on value though, i'd be interested on hearing what porkchop has to say.
    Slowly but surely working on:
    • Kirby Puckett
    • Al Newman
    • Al Toon
    • Troy Bell
    • Trish Stratus
    • 1965 Topps BB
    • 1987 Topps FB Auto'd
  • The pop report is 9 total with 3 8's, 3 9's and no 10's. A seller has two listed: auction @ $50 and BIN for $100. The $50 auction is being listed for at least the second time that I have noticed so it's not drawing a ton of interest.

That's a pretty high price if these are not condition sensitive. If the are really that rare maybe $50 is fair. I really want one and I see Pork needs one but I'm not sure I want to spend $50 on a 9.

I'm just trying to find out what the "market price" might be.

  • I have purchased a few of these sets off of eBay over the past couple of years. I don't recall paying all that much for them. The sets come up for sale fairly often. More times than not the Puckett is placed on the front and shows up at my doorstep with a dinged corner or banged up edge. I have two of this card that should garner a 9 . I believe there is a 9 on eBay right now. Although I like the appearance of this card, I believe that $50 is even a little too rich for me knowing I have two raw examples that I'm happy with (and I've been known to pay a nice price for highly graded Puckett cards).
