You Suck! Awarded 6/2008- 1901-O Micro O Morgan, 8/2008- 1878 VAM-123 Morgan, 9/2022 1888-O VAM-1B3 H8 Morgan | Senior Regional Representative- ANACS Coin Grading. Posted opinions on coins are my own, and are not an official ANACS opinion.
I did not expect anyone to get it that quick. This coin was originally in Frank Corso's set until I aquired it in y2k. I fought for a few years to try and get it bumped to 69, IMO this deffinately rates a 69. If the rev was a little stronger it would have gone DCAM, again, IMHO
well the variety is correct, and the designation is correct, but your wayyyyyyyy off on the grade. >>
What, too high?

If it came from Frank Corso, it's definitely a nice coin!

I agree! I think Frank has the finest collection of Jeffs around. He has both MS and Proofs so that sets him apart from those who only collect one or the other. (I haven't looked or spoke with him for a while, I assume he still has his set!)
pontiacinf: you let the cat out of the bag too quickly! It is obviously a NO-S but it is hard to grade proofs from photos. I wanted to see more guesses.

thanks for pointing out one of my major flaws, Carl
actually, it's rather easy to "guess" this one since it's an obvious Cameo and half of the graded PCGS Cam's are PR68CAM. despite your in-hand assessment that the coin should be a 69 and/or perhaps a DCAM, judging from the picture this coin is safe at the assigned grade and almost certainly won't move up without help. if it were my coin, i'd send it through NCS to clear the fields of any haze while also brightening the overall appearance and protecting the coin for the long haul. then it could be sent in for re-encapsulation at PR68CAM.
if you've been paying attention lately, there has been a plethora of this variety offered for sale lately. i noticed a couple at eBay several months ago and tried to buy a PCGS PR68CAM from a forum member but slept at the switch a day too long. since then there has been at least 3-4 at eBay, a couple at TeleTrade, several at Heritage including some still in the original Proof Set and even a PCGS PR65DCAM i saw in CW. this is one of those "Rarities that's actually just scarce" and has a demand which seems to make it hard for owners to hold their coins!!! i would be an exception to that rule; when i finally buy one it'll be with me till i croak!!!!
