  • Good evening,
Well being on Marraige #5, I certainly am not one to preach about what to not do or do when safeguarding your collectible collection. But if at all possible :
    1. Pre-Nup
    2. Pre-Nup
    3. Pre-nup
    4. Pre-nup

My second great Comic Collection was sold off to pay for a Divorce and Buy the B$@#tch out of an Investment property I was in at the time. When I went to inventory my collection to sell at the time I found she had helped herself before she moved out to the tune of about $10K worth of Primo Golden Age stuff. Couldn't prove it though, although I did do the police report thing, and had her Lawyer as much as admit it at a settlement hearing. I sold the rest of the collection to several Dealers in the Denver area for about $90K of which she got $60K of.

I of couse in my infinite wisdom, never have had one, never had the cojones to ask. As the Writer Lewis Grizzard used to say, "Just go out and find some Woman you hate and Buy Her a House, It would save a lot of time"

Out of all of my Divorces and the 100's of thousands gone to Ex's and their Attorney's, the biggest scam is Paying Child Support on Joint Custody to the tune of $800 a month. And when the child is actually with me more than his Mother, but with her its all about the Money!!!!! But only 7 more years !!!!
