Do any dies that produced proof coins prior to 1971 still exist or have they been destroyed?

If any of these dies still exist (in public or private hands) it would be very interesting to see them and to study them.

Can anyone shed any light on this topic?

There are lots of the '68 proof dies but most are severely defaced.
