The ladies love a man that can make some money Lee, so here's hoping your make a nice profit on your investment. image
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • ...damn, i thought were finally getting around to suggesting that threesome with the hot waitress.....

    but I digress.

I fully expect to lose several hundred dollars in this deal. That'll teach her.

'86 Fleer Basketball is going for $300 per pack? Holy Crikeys that's one hell of a gamble!

YOU BETTER POST THE RESULTS OF THE '86 FLEER BBALL PACKS HERE!!!!!
    -- Ryan Bell
  • Do a live rip on the 1986 Fleer Basketball. Also tell us the sequence of the cards in the pack and the rotation of the cards. This might help to find out if anybody else who opens a pack in the future might have opened a resealed pack.
    Paul
  • Yeah, or it might give information to some unscrupulous individual who would search packs without ever really opening them by just looking at the top card through the wrapper. Some information is better left untold.

Best of luck... with the cards and with keeping your marriage together! image J/K. I am sure your wife is cool with it. She married a gambler so she knew what she was getting into! Good luck!

I think she has made a grave error in judgment. JMHO.

Lee, Post a pic of her and the cards here side by side, It is the only way we can make a judgement call like this.

  • Yesterday I got an 82 Donruss box and 1 84 Topps football rack from him. His 84 cello box looked incredible, and that rack box....just can't justify it right now.

Pulled a Montana, Lott and Payton from the 84 pack.

Maybe you can buy a new couch with a PSA 10 Jordan?

It's hard to justify buying these things to bust them, but I figured I'd buy myself a wedding present before it's time to start saving for cribs and braces and college tuition and crap like that.

I'll post the results when I get the packs.

Really, you're just too old for these things now--it's not about you any more. Better to be thinking about what your future children may need.

chb, I was going to buy another 86-87 pack and send it to you as a gift, but you're right: I need to allocate my resources towards my future. Thanks for setting me straight.
