It's too bad about the '09-O quarter and '97-S half, but the '04-S half is a bigtime winner and the '07-S half is much tougher than all but the heartiest Barber half nuts would realize.

you should cut and paste the results here into the post.
i guess i am too lazy to look. i will go with what tom says.
  • Any idea why the 1909-O would be graded "altered surface"? I had a run of coins from my album come back that way from grading, and with some of them I STILL can't figure out what the problem was... . Nice grades on your other halves- I can see why you're on Cloud 9!

    Dogwood,

    Congrats on the 96-O, 04-S, 05-O and 07-S halves.

image...on the 97-S half and the 09-O quarter. My last submission had three Altered Surfaces as well.

Never could find out what they were referring to. I was so disgusted with not being able to cross

an otherwise nice 1901-S half in NGC 63, I sold it. If it crossed into a PCGS holder, you'd have to

pry it from my hands after I was in my casket...image

I BIN the 09-o on the Bay a week before I was planning to send in the submission so I popped it on with only a prayer. It had a dipped but not shiney look. Kinda too neutral, although nothing wierd. I'll post pix in the jumbo Barber thread. It's a VF 35 and it was preatty cheap. No great loss.

Someday I'll learn to Paste links. I tried once. Prolly a Mac thing.

4 out of 6 is pretty good. You can be very proud of this submission especially with the some of the specific date/mintmarks that were graded.

    Great Job!!!!

Great job on the 07-S and 04-S.

Was the 04-S raw or broken out of another holder?

Bummer that you didn't make an 05-P in XF45. image

Craig the 04-s was raw, as were they all, as purchased.
I'll keep an eye out for your 05-p at the Santa Clara show. I won't need it since I'm just doing a representative date set. And congrats, by the way on your set. Inspiring.
Thanks to all the above who shared in my happytime.
