Prevent Defense - prevents winning

You're a head coach and your team has held the other team to no touchdowns the entire game thus far. It's likely the last series of the game because there's less than two minutes left, and you've got the opponent pinned at their 3 yard line and they've got no timeouts. You've got a 4 point lead. So what do you do? Oh yea, change the f*ing defense from that which has worked perfectly throughout the game, to that of a different defense.
I'm not against the Prevent Defense per se, but it has to be used in the right situation, not just automatically as some coaches do these days without thinking. In this game, it was the wrong situation to use it in considering the flow of the game and the circumstances - another example of Eagle's coaching errors blowing a game and blowing this season for Eagle's fans.
I mean how many times do you see 97 yard pass plays during the regular season? so you should keep doing what is working, and if you get beat by a 97 yard pass play then you get beat. But just automatically throwing in the Prevent defense which allows a two-bit no talent backup quarterback to easily get to your 30 or 40 yard line, and then gives the other team an adrenaline rush because they have gained yards and are closer to the goal line to get the touchdown they need to win, is a poor strategy really beyond belief.
Plus the clock gets used up. Let's say a real longshot occurs and the Bears score with a long touchdown pass. The Eagles still would have gotten the ball back with plenty of time to get a field goal with one of the best field goal kickers in the league.
Andy Reid continues to exemplify himself as a poor game day coach.
