Greg, You've been teasing me with your PCGS PO01 Columbian for a year now. Come on. Time to sell! $100.00 Paypal'ed into your account right now!
You KNOW that is my rightful coin- you're just temporarily in possession of it.
It's begging to join my Registry where it'll feel right at home with all his bretheren.

Set it loose Greg!

Greg has generously sold this POP 01 COIN. It is now Prominantly FEATURED in My "Worse Known" Registry. Thanks Greg! Dog97 got his Supercoin dime, I now own the worse Columbian on the planet. Life IS good!

    Braddick:

I am familar with the term "to make" a coin, eg, "I made a MS66 today" but to me, the term generally seems awkward. However, in this case of the PO01 coin you desire, you might be able to actually "make" the coin. Start with a Columbian grading 30 or whatever, plunk it in your pocket and wait. Of course, it likely would take a few years, but I have confidence in you--you can do, you can make this coin!! Indeed, depending on the size of your pockets, you could simultaneously "make" almost your entire commemorative collection. I think in this case these coins really would deserve the Braddick pedigee because you would have "made" them in two senses of the word!!

    Mark

P.S.: I just had a thought. If your pockets are a little small so you can't fit all the coins you need in them, perhaps you could lease(!) some of the other board members' pockets or purses and send us the coins. We could help you make your entire collection as rapidly as possible!

Very funny, Mark. I volunteer to make the Monroe for you, Pat. They seem "soft", straight from the mint. Start with a VF? It shouldn't take long. image

Thanks Mark. I'd be afraid though, after waiting all those years to wear it down the date would be the first to go and thus my hopes for a PCGS slab around it (1892/1893?).

Come on guys! Let's light a fire under Greg! I want (no, scratch that. I NEED) his coin!
Greg, don't make me have Spooly formulate another poll (just kidding Eric) to see what the consensis is.

A $5 coin? I think not. It's value has doubled since your last offer a few months ago. You're also not the only one interested in this rarity. When RegistryCoin was informed about this Pop 1 coin, he made a sizeable offer. He's only looking for the best. I am not at liberty to discuss the specific dollar amount of his offer, but let me just say that with all that money, I'll have no problem Super Sizing my meals for the entire weekend.

Great. Now you've gone and shown the scan of this beauty. I'll have to compete against many other bidders now.
    Dang.

    One day, Greg. One day.

Greg is a bad bad man. Remember my $3,000 dime that Supercoin wouldn't sell me Pat? And you Spooly & Greg tormented me about it for months?

What goes around comes around. Make him beg Greg!!!

Hey Greg, I'll put $20 in the Braddick P01 fund.
C'mon, what do you think? $120?

I know you want to sell.

Make sure you get the best price for it. I sold Pat my pop 1 coin, a 1795 Large Cent, but he only paid me $2.60 for it, although $2 were minted in the 19th century. image

Dog, technically that $3,000 dime is mine. I don't recall ever being paid for it. Don't make me take you to Judge Judy to get paid. However, I'd be happy to work out a trade of THE DIME and some monetary considerations for my POP 1 - 1893 Columbian.

khayse, $120... we're getting there. At some point the money will get high enough that even though I enjoy owning it I'll sell it.

gmarguli you are a reasonable man after all. I retract all the mean rotten things Ive posted about you and the flaming email & PM that I sent you. Please accept my humble apoligies. As you well know I will spend large and unreasonable sums of money for coins whose only attributions are that they are wanted by me. I think a deal including The Dime is in order and can be easily completed.

Higashiyama, too bad that's an 1892. Braddick already has one of those.

Braddick: He's in the mail. You should get him tomorrow.

Thanks Greg. Your Columbian just bumped my Registry to 40% complete. Now, if I can just get Mitch to tighten the screws on the owner of that GD06 Hawaiian...

Just wait until Braddick find out I crossed the coin and it's now in an ACG AU55 slab. image
