Doesn't get any better than this, a best scenario for a playoff series, game 7 at a storied ballpark, winner goes to the world series,
loser goes home thinking "if only....."

I feel good about Dice K actually. 5 strong innings is all we need with Lester and Wake able to get it to Okajima and Pap.

Gagne 'contributed'? He pitched the 9th inning of a 12-2 blowout. As a fan of the Red Sox, do you really want to see him in a pressure situation?

<< <i>this series has certainly been worth watching... a lot more than any of the NL series which were snoozefests and featured some truly crappy teams. >>
I couldn't agree more with you. The NL this year was even weaker than they usually are, and there were no compelling reasons to watch any of the games or care about any of the teams.
As for tonight, Daisuke just needs 5 good innings. Even if not, you'll see every pitcher the Sox have in to help him.
Well, every Sox pitcher not named Gagne anyway.
has provided many challenges and learning experiences for the team. A loss tonight will not make the season a
failure. Failure will be if next year we do not learn from our weaknesses and work to make them strengths.
ALCS MVP:
If Boston wins: Beckett or Manny, my vote is with Beckett.
If Cleveland wins: Westbrook with a strong performance tonight, or Peralta. A possible sleeper in Betancourt.
Lets Play Ball!

Yeah, that's what they said about the Cardinals last year...

I know, I was one of the ones saying it.
I'm well aware the best team doesn't always win (like last year), so I take nothing for granted here. This upcoming series will be a tough one.

Only because you don't watch them...I have to wonder if you or anyone else who called the NL series bad watched them in any capacity to make that determination.
Colorado, Arizona are crappy teams? Give me a break.
Simply because some people are so fascinated with the teams the mainstream media force feeds the american public every night doesn't mean baseball out west is 'crappy'.
What will the excuse be if Colorado (you know, a crappy team) beats the Sox for the world series?
I know that's not a popular opinion, but that's what I think...
I hope not.
Hoping for an entertaining series with lots of close games, I can hope can't I?
