Stick a fork in the Indians...

They're done. After being up 3-1 earlier on, about to be tied by a wipeout like this usually means surrender.

If Wedge is smart, he won't deplete his pen tonight but will make a couple of long relievers deep in the pen take a lot of abuse so the rest of the pen is rested for Game 7.

Not sure it will matter, though. I don't see Boston losing this series now. If Cleveland bounces back tomorrow -- or more improbably, comes back from an 8-1 deficit tonight -- it will speak volumes of their character. But most teams -- especially inexperienced teams -- tend to flop after situations like this.

Tough to see Cleveland winning this series at this point.

I've never seen a baserunner (Yuke) get plunked in the head like that on a tag. After that, I say that there was no question the Indians were completely imploding.

Why does anyone think Dice-K will even keep the Indians at less than 8 runs over four innings?

My question is why did Wedge completely wear down his penn last night? Putting in Borowski? I know they didnt see a ton of work but still why not keep some of these guys fresh?

I refuse to say the Tribe is done though...

Makes no sense to me, either. As some point your chances of winning that game were so slim that you are better off taking two guys out of your pen and making them the designated punching bags so the rest of they can stay rested.

Cleveland just looks done, as if they've come to the collective realization that the sleeping giant just woke up. They had the appearance of a defeated team, and not just defeated in that game. Sure, if Dice-K melts down, who knows, but I've seen too many teams lose a tough Game 6 (either a heartbreaking blowing of a lead or a blowout game) like this after blowing a series lead, and with the exception of the 1975 Reds that team tends to show up beaten and lifeless in Game 7.

Wedge saved the right people: Betancourt and Mastny. Those guys have been quite effective against the Red Sox. He knew what he was doing.
