Neat. I remember the thread last year when it was discovered that it really was Phil Hughes. It was wild. That is very neat to see the stuff before it's released.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
<< <i>Someone should send him a link to these boards. >>
I would LOVE to see him go toe-to-toe with axtell
But seriously, I think everyone should take a look at that thread. There's a lot of BS in between, so just skim through and look for Phil's alias "nyyphily45".
Maybe it's the kid in me but I think it's really cool how he interacts with the board... He made a new fan today

same here - stumbled on the thread when I was bored at work today.
would like to see the one from last year when everyone found out it was really him.
look at his post count
I posted a link when he was asking where to get vintage sports photos and mentioned this place in it. He replied to it too LOL(although I guess he wants larger than 8 x 10s)
Wow. VERY cool. I had always been a big fan of Phil Hughes, and now I'm an even bigger fan. I still have nightmares seeing his hamstring blow out in the middle of a no-hitter, but I think him and Ian Kennedy are going to be an insane 1-2 combo next year.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
I wish all the A-Rod and Roger Clemens autographs looked like those! Clemens has a great looking sig - I'm shocked. I'm too tired right now to post links, but I will throw some comparison shots up tomorrow. And I think it's great of Phil to post over there - he posts as a collector, not as a player. He and Pat Neshek have done great things for the hobby.
