The Joe Torre Era: Won 14 Consecutive World Series Games

I think winning 14 World Series games in a row is a MLB record:

1996 vs. Braves: After a 0-2 start the Yankees win 4 in a row from the Braves
1998 vs. Padres: 4-0 Sweep
1999 vs. Braves: 4-0 Sweep
2000 vs. Mets: The Yankees won the first 2 games of the series

Joe, we will miss ya!!!!

Let's see if Randy Levine and company put an incentive laden clause in the next manager's contract. They had better do it or it makes the Yankees look even worse.

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

The Joe era will continue... its just that it will be elsewhere... Hopefully in the American League and in the Eastern Division... lets sit back and watch.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

Again, no disrespect but alot of managers could have had similar success managing the Yankees during his era. Im certainly not trying to be argumentive about Torre- I respect him and think he is a class act, just looking for some of your opinions on this..
