Could this be a 1949 PL Canadain Dollar

    All of the 1949 Dollars had these mirrored fields when struck. Technically there aren't any PL 1949 Dollars. There can be MSxx PL coins, but not PL coins are defined by the Royal Canadian Mint.

    Interesting. How do the grading services differentiate the strikes?
    I seem to recall that there has been a lot of confusion over this year.

    "The 1949 dollars were struck more carefully than those of previous years and were issued in plastic or cardboard tubes of 20 to protect them. Many of these coins remain in proof-like condition today."

    Very attractive example but this year was the year for quality. I would suggest your example would grade MS65
