diff betweeen 17.00 rawlings romlb ball and one made in china

i bought a rawlings rolmb ball today at mall for 17.00,ouch was was i though,i saw other balls for 2.00 made in china,on getting them autographed, is there any diff between the 17.00 and the 2.00,like the 2.00 one is prob made by same co anyways!i was just thinking of bleeding on the cheap ones or something,anybody ever get a china 2.00 ball autoed?

    For what you are collecting, I would just use the $2.00 China balls. Now if you're getting the auto from a HOFer, then I would use the $17.00 ball.

    also heard that they are made with lead and cardboard

    thats what i was wanting to know, i figured for 2.00 they had to be something wrong with em,everything in china has lead that come to us our food,pet food,baseballs lolthanx- nix on the 2 buckers for me then

  • I've never heard a good story from someone trying to save money on autograph materials...you get what you pay for, and it's a tough pill to swallow when you see an autograph waste away to nothing after a couple of years. The same thing goes for footballs, when you want to get the $20 ball instead of the $50 one.

    Value ofcoarse! I personally hate the look of autographs on those cheap China baseballs. Plus, it's not like players in the big leagues use China baseballs so I'd prefer the OML baseball. Also, OML baseballs smell better image
  • The cheap balls will bleed and/or fade. I lost a Willie Stargell autograph that way. The cheap balls seem to have some sort of wax or slick finish to them. I have around 70 autographed baseballs and all but the Stargell are on official MLB baseballs. It does make a difference.

    HAAAAA-thanx-you changed yer pic-i just realized it was pic change day,yeah wives will do that to ya to say the least,i listen to the tv,write out autograph requests,and listen to her talk all at the same time,and write down what shes saying in the letter im writing the guy lol-so i go to garage and lock door,get on other computer in my wife proof secrect man cave with all my military stuff!shes scared something might blow up so she dont come out!!!!i thank God for army and my implements of destruction for some peace and quiet!
