Argentina Gold 8 Escudos "Sun Face" (updated with photos of my purchase)

Hi Folks, I am contemplating purchasing one if these in solid orginal XF, what would be a current value that one of these would sell for?

<< <i>My best guess is $3500 for a common date. Be careful, though. There are some known counterfeits of this type, and possibly many more that are questionable. (I may be more suspicious of these coins than anyone else, and so far it's based only on instinct. One day, I'll figure it all out.) >>
Krause was pricing these (as a type) in XF at $3000 20 years ago.
The 1813 (struck at Potosi) is very rare and unpriced in Janson ("La Moneda Circulante En El Territorio Argentina 1767-1998") above VF ($10000 F and $20000 VF).
The others of this type are struck at La Rioja 1826 and 1828-35. The lowest price given by Janson (in 1998) in XF is for the "common" variety of 1828 at $3000 in XF (CJ-13.2).
I have not found a meaningful auction record for this "common" date in "solid original XF". I did find 2 of these, both graded "VF/GVF" and sold by Union Bank of Switzerland ("UBS") in 2005 and 2006. You can see them here and here.
Considering the explosion in coin prices in recent years, $3500 for any date or variety of this type in XF seems like an unrealistically low price to me, but I am not a specialist in early Argentina gold.

I agree, but don't hesitate to stretch if the coin is "all there".
