eBay search filter question

Silly question - why doesn't ebay force all coin auctions to enter one of the following: "date minted" or "no date provided". It seems like there would be interest in using dates in the search feature when there are 200,000 items on eBay at any one time.

Won't a date in the auction title result in a successful search?

Some coins can only be dated to a range.

It could be a good idea.. if ebay weren't the ones coding it.

This new search thingie they're doing is utterly miserable in every regard. Good thing they still allow use of the old style searching.
