I was at the first game played in Coors Field. I still have my ticket stub and an unused ticket. I also have 5 or 6 bottles of Coors Brown Ale that was bottled and sold in a few retail stores to commerate opening day of the season. That was supposed to be the only time it would ever be bottled and sold outside of the staduim. I also have a Sandlot Brewery baseball from the game, an Opening day commerative ball(only 2000 made) and a Colorado Rookies/Coors Field bat from the game(serial numbered to 300). I have # 149/300. I guess I should have kept the bag too. James
BTW, It was a strike year so the game was played with replacement players.
The first game played in Coors Field was a preseason/exhabition game not the regular season game as listed in the auction. It was played on March 31st at 1:05 PM against the Yankees. The beer bottles are still full of beer. James

Ummm...I don't think that's true. I don't believe scab players have ever played in a regular season MLB game. Football, sure. But not baseball.

April 26, 1995 = first regular season game at Coors.
Larry Walker, Andres Galarraga, Dante Bichette and Vinny Castilla played that day, and they were not replacement players.
Perhaps you attended a spring training game?
