Adrian Peterson = ROY...

Well I actually got a chance to watch the Vikes today, this kid is for real. Too bad we can hold a lead, and had to rely on him again with a 50 plus yard return to get in fg range. Anyone have some WRS they dont need?

He is NASTY! What a game for him!

Great day for Peterson. Bears defense was horrible and look like a average to below average defense this year. By far in the lead for R.O.Y. Bears Offense scored 31 points and lost. Wow. Big problems for Chicago this year. Hester also had a great game.

The kid is flat out a stud.

If he can stay healthy, he will be a special player.... As in absolutely BLOWING Bushhypealot out of the water.

But hype is hype and there's only one way to find out.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
  • Gotta love that I picked up Peterson 71st overall...the kid is a monster.

Certainly been very impressive to this point. Some teams did shy away from him in the draft because of prior injuries and his upright running style, but neither has been a factor yet. Players just bounce off from the guy when trying to tackle him high. Minny does need some WR's as beef said, but they also need a real QB as Tarvaris kinda blows IMO.

And BTW Beef, I believe the Lions can give up a couple of good WR's for a couple decent DB's or another LB.

What would Adrian Peterson's best (non-auto or patch) rookie card? I would need to start to make some decisions in a few weeks about which one to add to the NFL Offensive R.O.Y. set.

From a quick glance, it looks like possibly Topps Chrome. But then again, all of the sets haven't been release yet so it would be hard to tell if that would even remain the same.

  • I wish the Lions would have taken him at #2 instead of Calvin Johnson, nothing against Calvin but wide receiver was not a pressing
    need for the Lions.

I wasn't against the Lions trading down and selecting a number of players... Peterson, Willis, Landry, Thomas, etc. I'm not unhappy with what Calvin has shown to this point. The kid is impressive. But I also felt they had more pressing needs, especially considering the performances of MacDonald coupled with Roy and Furrey.

Bowman Sterling and Upper Deck Premier will likely be the top rookie cards of A.D. You also have SP rookie threads and Topps triple threads too. Those are the premier hobby boxes thus far this year.

I was thinking that he meant non-game used rookies, but maybe I was wrong. If he's interested in jersey versions, there certainly could be something higher. Again, always hard to tell until all of the products have come out anyways.

I think either the Topps Chrome that's out, or the Bowman Chrome will be his best non-jersey,non-auto card.

He's everything that was expected from Bush, but without the hype.
