It is still a cool idea. Why not give it a shot yourself? I've got two coins right here to get you started right.
Seriously, the idea was fun but I often branch off to do weird collections that never last. The only thing that's held my interest have been my half dimes. I always look at the other stuff I have and imagine the half dimes I could buy with the proceeds of selling.
