Anyone knows anything about this Canadian "pattern"?

The auctioneer is in Great Britain and have never seen this Canadian "pattern" before. It's also not listed in Charlton and I can't look-up Spink sale mentioned in the auction description, since Spink doesn't store that much of historic data:

The "Patina Collection" items, including this one, are all privately struck modern concoctions.

    Modern fantasies by private "mints".

I see various versions of these on the Bay all the time.

I've two examples that I probably paid too much for at about $10 each.

I wish they would quit using the "pattern" hype on these, and use "fantasy issue" instead.

I have a 1901 Irish "four shilling" fantasy piece of this ilk. Neat piece, and I didn't mind buying it for what it is- a fantasy- but too many people have been snookered by the "pattern" hype on these, and they also clutter up keyword searching sometimes.

I know what you mean LorM every time I do a search for patterns on UK eBay 99% of the patterns listed are for coins from the Spink patina collection which aren't true patterns.
