Anyone even mail-bid on a Sedwick "treasure auction"?

some interesting cobs and such here...
seems a bit tedious of a process. I might make a couple bids but I dont look forward to being "validated"...

note, I dont have any horse in this thing, I just came across this and wondered if anyone had any experiences to relay...

  • Dan Sedwick is top notch, you will get exactly what he describes. His grading is straight up and accurate and there are few who can match his knowledge. He literally wrote the book. His reputation is impeccable. As for being validated - he is trying to make sure that you are someone who he does not have to worry about and that you will honor your bids.

This is a dealer you can trust.

oh, I got that impression from the boards that he's the guy to deal with as far as cobs and Ive actually emailed with him, seems like a good guy. I just dont look forward to coming up with a deposit or something to make a few bids.... I emailed the auct for more information on the validation process... I see a couple cobs I wouldn't mind owning just for type!
