Has anyone ever considered a "rainbow toning only " collection?

There are so many world coins from a variety of centuries and countries that resemble each other through their similar rainbow toning
that I wonder if anyone ever started a collection in that direction- say XF and above, rainbow toning strictly?

Isn't Coinpictures doing a Canadian collection along those lines, dollars I think?

I have been trying to build a toned set of 1967 and earlier Canadian dollars starting with the commemorative issues.
It has been fun yet daunting as there are not nearly as many examples available compared with US Morgan dollars.

I have a gorgeous MS 1949 (or was it 47) at PCGS right now. It was in an ICCS flip, which tore and allowed the enviroment to tone this MS coin. I'll take a picture when it's back. I haven't seen too many pre-1960s Canadian dollars with color on them, though.

I'd love to see the entire collection of Canadian toners CP has. Dan, are you still in dozens, or hundreds now? image

i have a beautifully toned blue and red "stripe" toning pattern '51 Canadian dollar. I bought it at a local show from a Canadian coin specialist that is frequently there. I had it slabbed MS63 by NGC, and i haven't seen one that purdy from that time period. My photographic skills don't do it justice, i'll probably have Mark Goodman photograph it to make the awesome blues and reds "pop!"

Not strictly "rainbow" toners, but I've been selling off everything but my colorful toners and my fractional farthings... I have a boatload of toned Canadian dollars, as does Doogy.

I've bought every rainbow toned coin of the Mexican War for Independence that I've found. Price has never been a problem.
