The Input E-mail From Ron Guth

I received the e-mail from Ron Guth asking collectors for their opinions regarding some possible changes at PCGS. The changes involved several concepts. I replied after some thought to the issues. I was just
wondering if anyone else will be responding. Seems like this would be a great opportunity to express our thoughts regarding these changes. Ron said the changes were at the concept stage and our input
would be appreciated. If we don't reply now, we'd better not gripe later on. I didn't mention the specific changes, because I figured everybody received the e-mail. I like some changes and I opposed others.
Any thoughts?

  • Hi ; I'll be responding , as there were several things I'd like to see implemented. I'm always appreciative that they'd ask for our input , before just making wholesale changes.

Unless I am missing something...I NEVER got this email...wonder if I am on the Ron no contact list? I will say this..Its the FIRST time I have heard of him listening to anyone...and for the second time this week even. I am stunned. Keep up the good work Ron, I think your starting to catch on.

  • WS,
Being a highly regarded owner of multiple PCGS registry sets and a PCGS Forum member, I would assume

that you were entitled to receive the e-mail from Ron. I think you should inquire as to why you didn't

receive one. It couldn't be that letter you sent to him regarding the ole SF vs. BS issue. Could it? image Well,

I must say, you certainly should've received this e-mail. image

Its probably a case of a different email address. They might have an old one for you on file or something. I received it but I have had the same email address for about 7 years now.

I was wondering about not getting it too, but then it turned up in my junk e-mail box. The spam filter snagged it, along with about 200 others. But I'm glad I found it.!

I received and replied. My e-mail was read the next day by PCGS. There is one question I find quite puzzling: The one about PREMIUM-QUALITY IDENTIFIERS. Maybe someone can jump in an give their thoughts. I always thought that the NGC coins with a STAR are sought after and cross better into PCGS holders. The thread on the US Forum leads me to believe no one here wants PCGS to start such a service or maybe just the ones against it were more open to voicing their opinon in that thread. I want to hear what you think. Here is what I thought others may be thinking:

I have a really nice coin in a PCGS holder and it has a slight mark in the wrong place to be in the next grade holder, but it has the PQ intentifier so I received extra registry points. I really can't afford the next higher grade right now and this coin for the grade exceeds others of the same numerical grade as far as strike and eye appeal.

Ok guys tell us really how you feel about this image
