Ebay Snipe / People watching question

Just a quick question,

Does anyone know if when someone puts a snipe bid on an auction and the snipe program is monitoring the auction, does it show up on the sellers "watching" list on ebay. Just wondering how this program works.

If they only entered the item number in a snipe program and didn't explicitly click the link to watch the item in the "My eBay" area, then it will not appear as a watcher.

I'm not sure if that was your question, but that's how I parsed it, so I hope that helps...
  • Thank you that is exactly what I wanted to know. If by chance the seller could see an excessive amount of "snipes" AKA "Watchers", there is the possibility of artifically increasing the bidding to max out the sniper. I just wanted to be sure that this was not the case, that the snipe program is not listed as a "watcher" in the sellers ebay account.

    ziggy29 is correct.
Entering an ebay item # in a snipe program is anonymous until executed 9, 6, 3 seconds to auction end.
