To heck with those NL clubs..... the two best teams in Baseball will rumble for 7 games! Both teams have very strong starting pitching, impressive bullpens and have come up clutch all season long. The sox essentially led wire to wire and the Indians, projected to finish 4th! Crushed their division foes and ended up running away with the division.
The Colorado Rockpile? who? Diamondwhats? pshaw!

That St. Louis team was chocked full of veterans though; different story with the youngsters in the NL this year.
Not exactly a TV ratings grabber that is for sure. Fox was rooting for the Cubs I'm sure.

Its anyones championship at this point, any team can get hot or go cold.. thats why they play the games!
Please tell that to the 2003 Marlins. You will have to round them up though as they are all on different teams now.
"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."
Anyone who says the rockies and d'backs aren't worthy competitors are guilty of drinking the east coast koolaid ESPN, FOX, and others serve up. The Rockies and D'backs are both absolutely loaded with talent....just because you're in bed by 9 and mommy won't let you stay up to watch them doesn't mean they aren't good.
<< <i>No one said they werent good, the fact that both made the playoffs and advanced to the next round is impressive. By comparison both NL teams lack what their AL counterparts have... a decent rotation. Both Boston and Cleveland are blessed with a far superior rotation. Wakefield and Westbrook (#4 starters) would probably be the Number 2 starters on the NL squads. >>
Come on, Wakefield with his 4.76 or Westbrook and his 4.32 ERA would be #2s?
Time to leave that AL bias alone and realize that while Cleveland and Boston are good, they aren't the end all be all of teams. Arizona's team ERA is every bit as good as Cleveland's, and Colorado's is close too, an amazing feat given half their parks are in that park a mile above sea level.
Seriously.... Doug Davis is the #2 starter for AZ. thats a #4 starter on Boston or Cleveland, might even be #5.
Not saying the Rockies are best team in baseball, but the best team hasn't won the series that often of late.
Peace
Go ROCKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
