Poll: So who do you like in the WS?

Gotta admit, I think this is Boston's year. I'm going with Boston vs. Colorado, with Boston winning in 6. Who do you like?
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I'll be contrarian and go with the away teams, so Colorado over Cleveland.

PS if you bet the Series don't go with my pix.image

I picked Arizona to beat Cleveland.

    It was the easy choice!

    1. One of the few active major leaguers that I have for a player collection for is Chad Tracy--so surely they will win the World Series.

    2. When I was a kid, I went to many Kinston Indian games (minor league affiliate for Cleveland), so they will probably advance to the World Series.

    It was all simple logic.image
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

I am for Arizona. My son got 18-1 on Arizona to win the NL, and he is not even a Dbacks fan.
  • Cleveland over Colorado. Cleveland has the look of a team of destiny, biblical plague of locusts descending down on the Yankees and all...

I agree that the carnage over the Yankees was that of a biblical scale.. BUT Nostradamus predicts the SOX over the Tribe in 7! image

You won't have insects to worry about, but I think that real live Indians are going to charge the mound when Paperpusher is pitching.

What the heck, I will go against the conventional wisdom posted above me in this thread and predict the Rockies will win the World Series over either the Tribe or the BoSox.

However, since I do not follow baseball, know little about the game and have been to maybe a total of 10 MLB games in my life, my prediction means nothing................., unless it comes true and then I can bask in the glow of picking a winner and say "I told you so"image

My father will soon be taking a four week vacation to Phoenix to visit family from his home in NE Ohio.
So my Indians will be facing the Diamondbacks in the WS and hopefully have better luck this time against an expansion team.
  • Da Indians are going to do a number on Mr. Dice-K. Go Tribe!!!!

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."
  • Amazing. out of 47 votes as of 11PM Wednesday night, only one person thinks the DiamondBacks will win the World Series

I think people are still amazed they made the post-season period!

Yeah I can see how a team with 90 wins could amaze people for making the postseason.

Man your east coast bias is disgusting.
  • Considering the division the played in and the fact the lost Randy Johnson, and that their number 2 starter is Doug Davis. yeah, thats pretty amazing. Few would have thought or predicted the Diamondbacks on the cusp of going to the world series. Thats not bias, its common sense.
