    So Dallas has the ball with 13 seconds left at the Buffalo 47, down 2.

    No time outs left.

    Seems to me all you have to do is align your defense so NO one can get out of bounds or in the end zone. Period.

    This isn't college. The clock does NOT stop on a first down. ANY completed pass not out of bounds ENDS the game with 99% certainty.

    How the hell does Buffalo allow a couple of quick short ones OUT OF BOUNDS?!?!?!?! I'd give up THIRTY yards over the middle before I;d give up FIVE on the sidelines there!

    Why are ALL the defenders playing a prevent when all they need to do is prevent a player from going out of bounds?

    Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE defensive alignment.

    Plus I was glad to see that bush league time-out-just-before-the-snap FAIL. They have to change that rule this off season; that's bush league and unsporting. I don't blame coaches for doing it if it's legal, but it shouldn't be legal.

    All prevent defense does is prevent you from winning the game.

    They are snakebit because they don't know how to properly align the defense to prevent the receiver/runner from getting out of bounds. There was no excuse for letting those two quick passes get hit out of bounds. NONE. Their entire defense should have been set up to do nothing but prevent the end zone and prevent OOB. That's it. They were playing soft as if *giving* 5-10 yards a play. They had NO reason to fear a 20 yard pass up the middle. They had EVERY reason to fear a 5-yard pass to the sideline.

    Horrible defensive call. They deserved to lose because of that.
