    Saf-T-flips link
  • I now use Saflips and saf-t-flips, but there are a few decent brands out there. Remember not to buy the cheap ones or this can happen:

Saflips are the best. I sell some supplies and this is the only brand of 2X2 flips that I will stock. Here's what I say about Saflips in my marketing info:

Tarrant Numismatica's supply inventory consists ONLY of items that we deem safe for coins or currency. We will never carry vinyl flips that contain poisonous PVC, or other holders that have been proven to damage coins.

One of our favorite items for coin storage over the years has been Saflip brand holders. We like this product primarily because the material used is completely inert and I have never seen a coin change color or develop a film, even after years of storage. Another nice feature of the Saflip brand is that the pockets can be sealed with an impulse heat sealer. Sealing a coin in a Saflip 2X2 flip locks the air out and prevents the coin from moving within the pocket. Sure, Saflip holders cost more than the more popular vinyl flips, but in the long run you will LOSE money with vinyl flips as your coins will indeed be damaged by the PVC. In addition, it has been proven in a laboratory that the vinyl flips actually scratch your coins as they contain hard, sharp microscopic particles.

Just say "no" to PVC flips and protect your numismatic treasures by using Saflip brand flips.
