Do you know this guy : "kadacards" on ebay ?

He sold like 7-12 set of beta p9 and like 1-2 set of alpha P9 last 2-3 month on ebay.

He have those cards graded all the time with other than PSA (BGS / GEM / GAI)

I wonder why a seller sell ton alpha / beta P9 with no reserve and the sell for lower price but i can also see this auction he has listed for like 2-3 month :

A near mint ali for 140 USD not less... But he don t mind to sell Gem or bgs 8 mox beta for 300-400 USD ..
Those contradiction are very scary ...

It look like he relisted ton of graded cards (bidder didn t paid maby ???)

I wonder if he found a way to make good fake and get them certificate or if he has 1 real card then he open box and put a fake inside and then send the real card to an other compgnie for grading ....
Or stuff like that

GEM grading is a JOKE. They are renowned for their ability to "grade" trimmed and altered cards and are not worth the holders they use to house the cards. The fact the seller is also making every effort to hide his auctions from people researching his sales just screams of fraud. His pictures are just bad enough that you cannot make out any details of the cards he is offering. I just think that a seller with 100% feedback would WANT to do the best advertising he could to attract people to his sales rather than make them raise questions about his sales.

I would not trust any grading company to tell a fake MTG card other than PSA or BGS as I have seen slabbed counterfeits from GAI, SGC and GEM. Fact is they just do not know what they are looking at when it comes to these cards and anything from them should be bought with caution.

Just my $.02 and the reasons I will not be bidding on his auctions.

BTW - I know how bad GEM is, and I've heard stories of SGC graded fakes, but GAI? I know very little of them wrt graded Magic. What have you all seen out there? Just want to stay informed

I have had GAI graded MTG cards in my hand at a prior Gencon that were blatant fakes. I'm not talking where someone has taken the back of a regular MTG card and glued a CE front, I am talking literally copy machine fakes that I could spot before the guy even handed me the cards. Problem is the 3 companies in question just plain do not know what they are doing or looking at. I even had to call SGC and "educate" their graders about a CE reback that I won off Ebay to let them know what to look for. When I did this, I even send them a couple common Alpha and Beta cards to use as a reference as they did not have any to compare with....... Thankfully I was refunded for that screwup.

I won't even get into GEM grading as you can find numerous other posts on the forums regarding their "quality"

In the end, stick with either BGS or PSA on Magic cards if you want them to be genuine. If you want the best return on your investment, stick with PSA as the Becket cards do not realize anywhere near the prices PSA cards bring (but you knew that already).

I see that what i was scared of happened now.
I always tryed to know the guys i bought the cards from.
I bought 95 % of my graded cards that way and i graded 50 % of my cards.
I feel pain for the guys that bought some of the 40-60 k USD of cards that this seller sold last 2 month on ebay ... They will cry when they will see there P9 are fake.
I think that if you remouve all the fake P9 beta and alpha from the market the price of those cards would double ...
There is such a big amouth of fake
Oh well. I have happy i already have almost all my collection done

I have heard from other reputable sources about CE rebacks in SGC holders, but I had no idea GAI was also that bad (suspected, but wasn't sure). It is good SGC offered a refund; the PSA guarentee is one of their strongest selling points when it comes to graded MtG cards. Without a lot of experience it is easy to be fooled by a good fake - this is more true when you are buying online and only have a picture to go by.

In the end it may cost more, but I would only buy high-end MtG cards from reputable dealers/sellers - even if graded. I have always gone that route and never had a problem

Come to think of it, my first graded piece of Beta power was a PSA 9 Ancestral that I bought from Len...

I've been watching this guy for a long time, I can say with good reason that his graded cards are fake. There are threads on MOTL documenting this too - I am not sure how he gets them graded or fakes them, but they are CE rebacked cards.

I bought 4 P9 beta on ebay 4-5 years ago. 3 to one seller (that played those cards in tornament) and one to a shop. 1 year later i sold back the timewalk from the shop and sent the 3 mox from the player to PSA.
I had to refund the big shop that bought me the time walk (where i bought it) because the card was recolored ... I couldn t see it but the owner of this big shop know very well the cards and he had special tool to see the recoloring so i trusted him ... So i sold back the card on ebay and said it was lightly recolored (it was 3 littles touch) to make the card look pristin mint and i lost aurround 160 USD selling this card back on ebay.
On the 3 mox i sent to PSA, 2 came back PSA 7 and 8 and he last one came back ungraded because recolored ...
Again i sold those moxes on ebay and i sold the 2 graded one more than i bought them and the recolored one less ... So total i lost like 10-20 USD on the 3 mox deal
After this experience i said i will no more buy anything raw that worth more than 100 USD ungraded ...
Until last week all was good ... And i bought this row mox beta ruby on ebay : Item number: 250173710256.
It s a copy glued on a card ... Well a proxi in poor condition lol !
I told the seller and filled claim to paypal ...
On the P9, the recoloring / fake is 3/5 for me but then on other cards i bought from alpha/beta i bought raw i had like 3-5 % recolored ... I collect the best recoloring work ... Sometime i put them in the middle of untempered beta / alpha (well i call them untempered because i never sent them to PSA lol !) and honestly it s almost impossible to see the good recolored than the "not recolored"
I swear i won t buy any raw beta P9 anymore on ebay.
