T206 Christy Mathewson Question

Hello Everyone,
I am debating on going for a T206 Mathewson for my next card. At the time, did the New York Giants wear dark caps, or white caps. If I get a Mathewson I want to get the "proper" variation. What's everyone's take on that matter?
