Yes, I do believe there is intelligent life out there.
Our next closest galaxy Andromeda (also known as M31 and NGC 224) is only 2.5 million light years away.
It is also a spiral galaxy, similar to ours. Do you suppose intelligent life there are into collecting coins?
What sort of alien elements are out there? Can you imagine gold being as common as beach sand, on a planet in the Andromeda galaxy.
