Anyone watching HSN?

Anyone watching the Home Shopping Network? I just happend to be flipping through channels and saw that their selling cards. What a freakin joke!!! "For $99.95 you can get this off brand graded Arod rookie from Classic cards. Oh, did I mention it comes with a graded Jeter High School card. And an 07 Dice K rookie card. Don't forget that Dan Marino knock off rookie too." What a joke.

  • Was it the "The Sports Room" on HSN? I would assume so. I find myself shaking my head in disbelief at some of the stuff these guys try to pass off for way to much cash. The sad thing is people actually get suckered in to that stuff. They'll make something seem rare or whatever and it's just junk. They were selling topps vending boxes from the early 90's and saying that pretty soon all this stuff will be off the market and how it's running out quick so buy them. 9 times out of 10 it's total garbage from that show. Sometimes they have some cool autographed stuff, but usually overpriced by a mile.

They aren't marketing to you or me. They are marketing to "rich" grandparents with teenage grandkids. The buyer has no clue, and neither does the recipient.

These sellers have found their market, and that market has nothing to do with us.
