An Ode to the Lincoln Memorial Cent - 1959-2009

50 years of solid service to the country -
It bore witness to wars - Vietnam and both Gulf I & II. It saw a man land on the moon and was present in the WTC on that horrible day. It saw its value steadily erode as the decades passed.
Although a little more than a year away, I will miss the Lincoln Memorial Cent.
I'm feeling nostalgic tonite

I suppose I'll be nostalgic when it's finally gone.
