The website hasn't been updated in awhile. But it indicates that the project is accepting results until the end of Jan. I just sent my completed spreadsheet to cd@thecentproject.com.
1,550 copper cents. And that's considering that 1,000 coins from one bank were all 2007-P zincolns! 10 - S-mint coins (Ratio of P & D to S here in Pennsylvania is 490:1 9 - Wheat cents (earliest 1937-P) 2 - Illegible coins (1-Lincoln Memorial & 1 Lincoln Wheat) 1 - Shirt button 1 - Roosevelt clad dime 15 - Canadian cents 1 - Barbados cent
3:7 - ratio of copper to zinc. (excluding the 1000 zincolns dated 2007 the ratio was 4:6)
I actually acquired 20 rolls at a time from 5 different banks in my hometown. Just one bank offered all new cents in cellophane plastic rolls. The others were all paper-wrapped rolls containing a combination of copper & zinc cents.
I 'm curious to see the final tally.

Hey Chuck where are you? Any chance that this project will come to fruition any time this year? BTW: I did have fun partcipating even if you can't finish it.

I keep looking but I see no change (no pun intended). I am interested to see the final results. Does anyone have any idea what the current timeline is?
